How the Campus Meal Plan Works
Each time you visit a dining commons, campus restaurant, or on-campus convenience store, you can use your id+ card to purchase a meal, snack, or beverage.

Five Steps
1. Choose a level that is best for you.

2. Purchase the plan using the Housing and Food Service Contract.

3. Funds will be put into your account.

4. Use your id+ card to make on-campus purchases.

5. After making a purchase, funds will be deducted from your account and the remaining balance will be displayed on the register's screen.


The Meal Plan has Two Costs
• Base cost: This is paid up front for the entire semester and covers non-food costs such as operating the dining commons (i.e. labor, supplies, maintenance, and utilities).

• Dining dollars: This is the amount that can be spent for purchases. Each time you make a purchase, funds will be deducted from your account. The meal plan offers huge savings compared to paying with cash.

Choosing the Level for You
• How many meals will you eat on campus each week?

• How many meals will be in the dining commons?

• How many meals will be in the retail locations? (i.e. snack bars, coffee shops and retail dining)

Savings with the Meal Plan
With the Campus Meal Plan, you will receive major savings in the dining commons.
• Enjoy a 65 percent discount at all six all-you-care-to-eat dining commons.

• Residential retail locations offer a 65 percent discount on prepared items.

• Your guests can also enjoy on-campus dining with a 35 percent discount in the all-you-care-to-eat dining commons when you use your id+ card.

• Retail locations offer a 10 percent discount to Campus Meal Plan members on prepared items.

Purchasing the Plan
• Students living in the residence halls must purchase the plan with their Housing and Food Service Contract.

• If you are a registered student living off campus, you may purchase the on-campus meal plan using the Contract Card. Submit the card to the id+ office, 103 HUB-Robeson Center.

• The plan cost will be charged to your Bursar account (semester bill).

• Plans are binding for the semester and balances are nonrefundable.

• Plans cannot be transferred or assigned to another individual.

• Students who withdraw from the University will receive a prorated refund of the base cost and a refund of unspent dining dollars in their Bursar account.


Adjusting Your Meal Plan Level
id+ Online allows you to conveniently manage your meal plan account on a secure server.

Funds can be added at:
• id+ Online

• id+ Office (103 HUB-Robeson Center)

• The Assignment Office for Campus Residences (201 Johnston Commons)

• Value Transfer Stations (HUB-Robeson Center, Findlay Commons, and Pollock Commons)

Leftover Funds
• If you purchase the meal plan within the first two weeks of spring semester, your leftover dining dollars from fall semester will carry over.

• You may purchase a different level for spring.

• Dining dollars left over from spring semester do not carry over and are forfeited.

• Your summer semester dining dollars carry over to the fall semester if you've purchased the plan for the fall.

• Levels can be changed at anytime until 14 days before the last day of final exams.


Lost or Stolen id+ Card
If your id+ card has been lost or stolen, deactivate it immediately at id+ Online or by calling 814-865-7590. You can also deactivate your card at your commons desk at anytime during the semester (24 hours a day/seven days a week). You will receive a temporary ID for the night until the id+ Office opens and can provide you with a new one.

You can also call University Police after regular office hours at 814-863-1111. The id+ Office, 103 HUB-Robeson Center, can issue a new card at the current replacement fee.
